Surgical trainees have little opportunities for hands on training with … 

 

• surgical anatomy

• clinical examination

• assessing radiographs

• applying local anesthetics

• suturing skin, tendons and nerves

• reducing fractures

• applying casts and splints

 

Presentation skills  are likewise seldom taught to medical students and doctors in training. 

 

I am personally very interested in improving the quality of patient care and reducing the numbers of unnecessary complications in and of treatment. I would like to offer a chance for surgically oriented medical students, surgical residents and registrars to learn these basic skills in a charming athmosphere in Muuruvesi. 

 

Smoke sauna, good food and drink are my other passions, which I would like to share with the participants of these hands on courses. We have a full size artificial grass tennis court on site available for the participants during summer months. Cross-country skiing or ice-hockey are good options for some physical exercise after the surgical training sessions during winter.
